How'd I get here?
I get lost. A lot. Literally and figuratively.

Here's what happens when you get lost: You can find yourself at a cafe in a beautiful seaside village in Iceland, sipping coffee while the Amelie soundtrack plays in the background. You can unknowingly end up in another country -- a pristine park in the Bayern region of Germany -- despite having plans to visit a cave in Austria. You can buy a ticket to Brussels from Utrecht for a bus that departs the next morning. You can end up teaching abroad after spending several year working in marketing in Washington, DC.

In 2021, I packed two large suitcases and two large backpacks and left the country. I'd always wanted to live in another country. I never dreamed I'd start my journey as an English teacher in Jerusalem.
I'll take a hike (or a train, or a flight). As long as I can get lost in the world. It's the best way to find your way back.
